Resort Waiters Attend Wolf Blass Academy Workshop
15 November 2017This year marks the 16th HOTEC event held in Fiji. The Fiji Hotel & Tourism Association’s (FHTA) annual industry trade show — “HOTEC 2017” will be held on November 16-17 at the Denarau Island Convention Centre (DICC).
FHTA’s chief executive officer Fantasha Lockington advises that along with exhibitor booths, this year’s HOTEC aims to offer a more interactive range of programs for industry participants to watch and learn from.
“HOTEC is organised so that supplies can showcase and demonstrate their latest products and services, meet with industry partners and customers, study activities of rivals, and examine recent market trends and opportunities,” said Mrs Lockington.
“By providing an enabling environment, FHTA hopes to generate stakeholder interest, promote awareness, create networking and business opportunities and ensure tourism products and services continue to develop and strengthen in the industry that involves people from across all segments.”
Mrs Lockington adds a range of exhibitors who work in the industry will be represented this year with the addition of several new programs being introduced to boost tourism education and showcase trade skills and new trends — all in one place. “There will be something on display or going on for everyone in the industry,” she said.
“IT, culinary skills, furniture & furnishings, gardens & outdoors, HR discussions, coffee & chocolate tutorials, cocktails & mocktails, uniform designs, water recycling, solar trends, cleaning products, security options, wine displays & all sorts of food tasting to name a few.
So if you want to see what’s new. There are a few things happening on Denarau this week, so interested members of the industry have the opportunity to catch up, network and learn new things all in the same area.”
Website fhta.com.fj reports the HOTEC Tradeshow presents a range of invaluable opportunities for your company whether you will be exhibiting or attending.
“This includes meeting potential customers, finding new and better ways of doing business and building a more impressive reputation within the tourism industry,” said the website.
“HOTEC is an exceptional venue for showcasing products and services to an engaged and targeted industry audience. Few other trade shows can connect so many suppliers and traders on such a regional scale within the tourism industry. It is not just an event for product manufacturers and suppliers to preview products and services.
But a catalyst for longstanding industry relationships.” Fhta.com.fj adds the tradeshow will allow you to maximise your company’s exposure to buyers from the top — CEOs, owners and presidents as well as many more whose core business includes import, wholesale, retail, and hotel and resort operations.
“The remarkably qualified buyers that attend HOTEC work with nationally and internationally known hotel chains, restaurants, spas, nightclubs, golf/country clubs, cruise ships and timeshares,” reports fhta.com.fj.
“HOTEC is a great channel for brand building and launching new products in the local market and the result will be great and fruitful.
“The elevated atmosphere at the tradeshow, diverse product selection, extensive event program and friendly environment is conducive to meaningful and fruitful conversations with manufacturers, industry visionaries and peers.
“With the inclusion of a series of informative and mind-stimulating events ranging from culinary, cocktail and wine competitions to mini workshops with expert discussions on the topics you most want to hear, HOTEC indulges both exhibitors’ and visitors’ business interests.”
