50th Anniversary – University of The South Pacific Congratulatory Message

On behalf of the government members, private sector members and Board of the South Pacific Tourism Organisation, we extend our heartiest congratulations to the University of the South Pacific on reaching your 50th anniversary milestone!.

SPTO’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Christopher Cocker remarks, “This milestone offers a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the history of the University of the South Pacific and the important contributions it has made to the personal and academic development of over thousands of students, past and present.”

“As you mark 50 years of success, you have every reason to be proud of the University’s past and excited about its future. Many of our Pacific leaders, politicians, Ministers are graduates of the University which has undoubtedly contributed immensely to their role as leaders and as architects of the future of our Pacific”.

SPTO has enjoyed many years of partnership with the University of the South Pacific in the development of the region’s tourism industry. Many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have benefited tremendously from the collaborative efforts between SPTO and USP through capacity building training and workshops and we could not be more proud of this partnership which we will continue to respect and strengthen over the years.

We wish the University of the South Pacific every success for many more years to come and look forward to a strengthened partnership!
