The Statistical Institute (ISPf) takes stock of the cyclical trend in the international hotel industry for the period March
During this month, hotel attendance increased by 2.1% compared to March 2016. This increase was mainly due to the increase in the number of nights sold to the Japanese market (+ 29%). At the same time, metropolitan (+ 13%), Pacific (+ 9%) and domestic (+ 2%) markets all increased, but to a lesser extent. On the other hand, all other markets contracted.
The average load factor (CMR) was 62.2%, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points, while the average revenue per rented room (RMC) increased by 9% to 34,451 F.CFP against 26 695 FCFP in 2013. The average revenue per available room (RevPar) is up 8% to 21 443 F.CFP.
In the first quarter of 2017, the CMR remained stable at 58.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
