ROK-PIF Cooperation Fund Grant Facility Launch
3 May 2022The Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO), the Pacific Islands Forum (PIFS) and the Republic of Korea, through the ROK-PIF Cooperation Fund, launched a grant facility, aimed at enhancing Pacific – Korea trade opportunities through exports and tourism E-commerce for Pacific MSME’s.

SPTO Chief Executive Mr. Christopher Cocker said this initiative would enable increased visibility of Pacific niche products and unique Pacific destinations, adding that the project leverages digital mediums to target key demographics in the Korean market
Mr Cocker said through this project SPTO will work to diversify operations, provide cost-friendly growth opportunities for businesses and unlock new, resilient and sustainable income opportunities for the Pacific private sector community, whilst also benefitting Korean consumers.
“Digitalization and innovative partnerships is the key for the Pacific’s Tourism’s recovery moving forward. SPTO is extremely grateful for the opportunity to partner with PIFS and the Republic of Korea, through the ROK-PIF Cooperation Fund,” Mr Cocker said.
