20 July 2017The Australia Pacific Islands Business Council (APIBC) in partnership with the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) are hosting the 9th Australia Solomon Islands Business Forum event in Honiara, Solomon Islands from July 24-26.
Organisers of the forum say now is the time to invest in Solomon Islands and this year they are bringing you a packed programme over two days at Honiara’s Heritage Park Hotel.
This event brings together senior corporate and government decision makers from both Australia and Solomon Islands, and invited guest speakers include Hon Manessah Sogavare MP, Prime Minister of Solomon Islands and Hon Keith Pitt MP, Australian Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment.
President of the APIBC and Managing Director of Pacific Air Express Gary Clifford says the Solomon Islands has enjoyed a steadily growing economy over the last few years and the region offers solid opportunities for business in areas such as infrastructure (a new hydroelectricity project is in prospect) services, tourism development, sustainable forestry, agri-industry and fisheries.
Chief Executive Officer of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dennis Meone adds there has never been a better time to explore opportunities in the Solomon Islands with agribusiness, tourism and mining three sectors with great potential.
