A New Framework For Underwater Recreational Diving
13 November 2017Tourism Fiji has hosted 46 agents with 5 different itineraries on its recent Matai Mega famils over the last week.
Cameron Taylor, Tourism Fiji trade partnerships Manager says the weeklong itineraries showcased Fiji’s resorts, experiences and local dishes.
‘The agents also had a taste of the many activities on offer, including white water rafting, snorkelling with sharks, zip lining, Sigatoka River Safari, off road dune buggies and the Flavours of Fiji cooking school,’ he says.
‘On top of that they also had time to snorkel, dive, stand up paddle board and all the other activities on offer at many of the resorts in Fiji.’
Over the last week the groups headed off in different directions to experience the Mamanuca Islands, adventure activities around the main island of Viti Levu, and further afield to Savusavu, Taveuni and the Yasawa Islands.
The famil groups then all returned to Denarau and out to Malamala Beach Club hosted by South Sea Cruises where they took part in a “Survivor Challenge” run by Rosie Holidays for the day, the group then headed back to the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa for the final event party.
‘It’s the first time I’ve been to Fiji and seeing this wide range of product and experiencing things outside the resorts has been invaluable,’ says Jenny Marshall, Flight Centre 24/7.
Ben Venner, Flight Centre Coastlands adds, ‘I’ve experienced the Coral Coast and the Mamanuca Islands with Tourism Fiji and now I have ticked off the Yasawa Islands, it’s given me a great overview of what my clients can experience in the different regions of Fiji.
