            Aniata Kimetete Winner Of The Call For Tourism Projects in Tahiti

            The Minister of Tourism, International Transport, in charge of relations with the institutions, Nicole Bouteau, in collaboration with the Committee on Tourism, Ecology, Culture, Regional Planning and Air Transport, , Friday afternoon, the 1st prize of the Call for Tourist Projects.
            The contest was attended by 40 participants and is part of the 2nd Tourism Training and Tourism Forum held on September 13-14 in the Assembly of French Polynesia.
            The Ministry of Tourism, the Tourism Commission and Air Tahiti Nui have launched this call for proposals to encourage the emergence of new tourism projects.
            The jury, composed of French Polynesia Assembly President Marcel Tuihani, Tourism Minister Nicole Bouteau, Sylvana Puhetini, President of the Tourism Commission of the Assembly of French Polynesia, Tahiti Tourisme, Sofidep, CAGEST and CCISM, chose a winner, a favorite, and two project promoters who were encouraged by the jury.
            Aniata Kimetete, originally from the Marquesas Islands, is the winner of the first edition with the Cai’oa Adventure project.
            She will receive a check of 200 000 Fcfp from the Sofidep, an air ticket from Air Tahiti Nui, training provided by CAGEST, a kit from the CCISM as well as marketing support from Tahiti Tourisme.
            The jury also decided to reward three projects: Tupuna Kulture by Brenda Tihoni, Va’a Spirit by Maire Mateirii and Céline Hervé Bazin.
