Samoa hosted more than 2,000 visitors at the end of last month when the Aurora Cruise Ship of P&O Cruises International called in at the Apia Harbour.
The ship which is a frequent visitor to Samoa’s shores brought in 1,774 passengers and 810 crew members.
Pacific Forum Line was the Local Agent, working with the Samoa Ports Authority (SPA) and Samoa Tourism Authority (STA)
to host the visit.
The visitors were from various countries of the world with many different nationalities. They were welcomed with the usual traditional entertainment on the wharf upon arrival, as vendors set up stalls to sell handicrafts with much needed services provided by STA, SPA and others. Various Tours to numerous destinations were provided by local travel and tour operators.
The ship sailed to Samoa from Lautoka and continued on to Hawaii.
The next cruise ship visit is at the end of this month, on the 23rd of April 2017.
