Cook Islands Tourism Australia Nominated ‘Best Tourist Office – International’

Cook Islands Tourism are delighted to announce that Cook Islands Tourism Australia has been nominated for “Best Tourist Office – International” at the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) – National Travel Industry Awards 2018. The Australian team was nominated by travel agents in the industry. Finalists for the awards will be announced on Thursday, 3 May 2018. With winners announced on 21 July.

Cook Islands Tourism Corporation Australia was recently nominated for ‘Best Tourist Office – International’ at the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA), National Travel Industry Awards 2018.

Halatoa Fua, CEO, Cook Islands Tourism Corporation is delighted to announce that Cook Islands Tourism Australia has been nominated for “Best Tourist Office – International” at the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) – National Travel Industry Awards 2018. The nomination comes as a result of the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation Australia team being nominated by travel agents in the industry. Finalists for the awards will be announced on Thursday, 3 May 2018. Winners will be announced at the Gala on 21 July 2018.

Fua said, “Building strong relationships with the industry and growing destination awareness with agents has been a focus for the team in Australia since the re-structure of our Australian operation 18 months ago. Given some 50% of bookings come through travel agents, we were acutely aware that it is a vital distribution channel and I am pleased to say that we have seen the results in engagement with the trade and increased visitor arrivals.”
