2020 will always be seen as a devastating year for the Tourism Industry worldwide. Despite the global pandemic, the Covid restrictions, and the Cancellations throughout last year to date, plus the devastation of the recent severe tropical cyclone ‘Yasa’ – we at Daku Resort in Savusavu have worked to salvage what we could, and have come out through all these adversities, rather surprisingly successful! Our success was due mainly to the patience and resilience of our staff and management team. We have managed to “keep our heads above water” so to speak, by working with what we have, and have maintained our exquisite and quaintly picturesque brand – which all our satisfied guests have always attested to. 

In saying this – we would like to take this opportunity, to immensely thank ALL our guests, who made ‘Daku’ their home for a few days or more last year! Your patronage has enabled our management team to re-hire some of our precious staff, whom we had to release because of the economic repercussions of the pandemic.
