Tourism Fiji has appointed a new director marketing who will have an instrumental role in the organisation’s brand revitalisation strategy.
Michelle Stott, an experienced destination marketer who specialises in marketing strategy and brand management, is no stranger to Tourism Fiji. She held the position of acting global marketing from 2014 to 2015.
A Tourism Fiji statement said Ms Stott had also worked as cluster marketing communications Fiji for Hilton Hotels and Resorts, marketing manager Tourism New Zealand, International brand manager Air New Zealand, group account director at TBWA Auckland and marketing executive at New Zealand Herald.
Tourism Fiji CEO Matthew Stoeckel said Ms Stott brought a creative and innovative approach from her advertising agency experience.
“Her knowledge of Fiji and the organisation ensures she can hit the ground running and combined with her marketing experience makes her ideal for the role.” Mr Stoeckel said.
Meanwhile, Tourism Fiji also announced the promotion of Kathy Koyamaibole to the newly created role of regional manager Asia. In her role, Ms Koyamaibole will be championing Tourism Fiji’s drive into Asia, including the emerging markets of India and Singapore.
