Earth Day Poetry Slam Targets Youth

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd, the FSM Department of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management organized a nation-wide poetry slam for secondary school students, with the theme “How do we restore our Earth?”

The aim of the event was to strengthen engagement and awareness on the shared responsibility to protect and restore our environment.

Participation was exceptional with schools from the outer Islands also joining in. Pohnpei Catholic School was awarded the first prize -To view the video which earned this award, click here.
