2 May 2025The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is proud to announce Fiji Airways as a Platinum Partner for the 2025 South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE), set to take place on May 9-10 at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa.
As the Pacific’s premier airline, Fiji Airways continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening tourism across the region. This partnership underscores the airline’s commitment to promoting the Pacific as a world-class destination while supporting the success of SPTE 2025.
Recognized as the Best Airline in Australia and the Pacific at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards and earning its third consecutive Five-Star Major Airline rating from APEX, Fiji Airways will provide vital flight support for key trade, media representatives, and tourism partners attending SPTE.
With the theme “Unity in Diversity: Exploring the Pacific’s Hidden Gems,” SPTE 2025 will spotlight the region’s rich cultural and natural diversity, with a special focus on lesser-known destinations.
Earlier this year, SPTO and Fiji Airways signed an MOU to collaborate on key initiatives, including promotional activities, market development, and data-driven strategies to enhance tourism opportunities. As the Pacific’s leading airline, Fiji Airways will work closely with SPTO to develop targeted campaigns that highlight the region’s diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and unique tourism experiences on the global stage.
SPTO Chief Executive Officer Christopher Cocker thanked and welcomed Fiji Airways’ continued support, emphasizing its role in driving tourism growth and connectivity across the Pacific.
“Our longstanding partnership with Fiji Airways is a testament to the critical link between two interdependent sectors, aviation and tourism in the Pacific. Their commitment to SPTE 2025 not only enhances market access for our destinations but also strengthens SPTO’s Strategic Plan SFA 6: Connecting Tourism and Aviation. Together, we are building a more resilient, sustainable, and competitive Pacific tourism industry,” said Mr Cocker.
Following a successful SPTE 2024 in Fiji, this year’s event promises to further elevate the Pacific’s tourism profile, fostering partnerships that will drive sustainable industry growth.
