3 August 2017Hong Kong Airlines and Fiji Airways have signed a codeshare agreement today to offer customers enhanced connectivity and seamless connections between six major destinations in the South Pacific and Asia.
Under the agreement, Hong Kong Airlines’ “HX” code will be placed on Fiji Airways’ flights between Hong Kong and Nadi as well as Nadi and Auckland.
At the same time, Fiji Airways will put its “FJ” code on Hong Kong Airlines’ flights between Hong Kong and Bangkok, Tokyo and Osaka.
Hong Kong Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Li Dianchun says the commencement of their partnership with Fiji Airways is good news for passengers of both airlines and their passengers now have a new choice to enjoy the white sandy beaches and aesthetically pleasing islands of Fiji.
He says they are also excited to welcome more new friends from Fiji onboard Hong Kong Airlines’ flight.
Fiji Airways CEO and Marketing Manager Andre Viljoen says they are delighted to have an excellent partner, Hong Kong Airlines, to help expand their footprint in Northeast Asia.
This is a key part of their growth and presence in the region, and the three destinations are welcome additions to their network.
He says the arrangement will allow through check‑in of customers and their luggage all the way to their final destinations, offering convenient transit options in Hong Kong and Nadi.
Fiji Airways onboard services have been enhanced for the comfort of Asian guests and come with Asian menus and availability of Mandarin & Cantonese interpreters on every flight between Hong Kong and Nadi.
