Intercontinental Fiji Awarded Australasia’s & Fiji’s Leading Resort At The 2017 World Travel Awards

            June 7, 2017

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is honoured to be recognised as Australasia’s Leading Resort and Fiji’s Leading Resort at the prestigious 2017 Annual World Travel Awards Asia and Australasia Gala Ceremony hosted on 4th June 2017 at the Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai in China.
Voted for by travel and tourism professionals world-wide, these accolades recognise the resort’s sincere commitment to excellence and dedication to service by enhancing guest experiences in the travel industry.
“Fiji is a unique and wonderful destination renowned for its people’s warm and welcoming hospitality.  These two awards are an excellent achievement and testimony to our team’s unwavering dedication and hard work to deliver exceptional guest experiences and memories,” says Andrew Davidson, Area General South Pacific at the InterContinental Fiji.
“We are extremely delighted with these awards, especially the recognition as Australasia’s Leading Resort 2017 and look forward to continue to ensure that our guests leave Fiji with unforgettable memories of their time here to share with their friends and family back home,” continues Andrew.
The World Travel Awards were launched in 1993 to acknowledge excellence in the travel and tourism industry and are now in their 24th year. Recipients of these awards are reputed to be the finest in luxury and travel offerings in the travel industry.
Heralded as the “travel industry’s equivalent to the Oscar’s” by The Wall Street Journal, the awards are decided based on votes by travel professionals and consumers worldwide.  The 24th Gala Ceremony for the 2017 World Travel Awards – Asia and Australasia was hosted on 4 June 2017 at the Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai.
