International Award For Five-Star Island Resort

An island resort has added another feather to its cap after it won the best Private Luxury Hotel of the Year — Fiji at the recent 2017 Luxury Travel Guide (LTG) Asia & Australasia Awards.

Taveuni Palms Resort owner Colleen O’Neill said it was a unique award which was sought after by many hotels around the world.

“It is an honour for Taveuni Palms to win such a prestigious accolade and is a credit to our amazing team who work tirelessly to provide an exceptional experience for all our guests in a private and luxurious setting,” said Ms O’Neill.

A statement from the resort management said the LTG awards identified the best hotels and accommodation options throughout the continent with its criterion focused on innovation, design, rooms and facilities, gastronomic achievements, service excellence, use of technology, sustainable development, marketing and branding, employee satisfaction, and location.

It said the “Private Luxury Hotel of the Year” title was the only award in the category and highlighted why Taveuni Palms had been discovered and commemorated by their customers.

The statement said the judging panel for the awards included TV personalities Shane Green (Resort Rescue) and Marianela Pereyra (Resident Beach Expert), luxury travel photographer Antonio Cuellar, as well as the in-house team at Luxury Travel Guide.

“Taveuni Palms didn’t need to work hard to stand out to the judges. The resort boasts large private luxury villas, a personal pool and the most outstanding and eye catching complimentary one hour after flight recovery massage upon arrival. I look forward to working with Taveuni Palms and presenting their award throughout 2017,” said James Drakeford, Editor-in-Chief, at Luxury Travel Guide.
