Maïlee Faugerat Takes Over The Management Of Tahiti Tourisme

Maïlee Faugerat was elected president of Tahiti Tourisme on Friday by majority vote.

The election, as well as the vote on the budget and actions of the group for the year 2018, took place in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Nicole Bouteau.

Following the call for applications launched by Tahiti Tourism to replace Michel Monvoisin , thirteen applications were received. These were all presented to the board and proposed for election.

It is finally the name of the general manager of TahitiSport SA since more than ten years, entity which groups in particular the Nautisport and Intersport signs, which was acclaimed.

Recognized as an active and committed personality in the Polynesian economic world, Maïlee Faugerat can draw on more than twenty years of experience in local and international marketing, management control and management of various companies. Graduate of business schools in Paris and Toulouse, Ms. Faugerat is also experienced in the operation of boards of directors, such as those of the Bank of Tahiti , Medef Polynesia or the Maritime Cluster of French Polynesiain which it sits since its creation.

Co-founder of the Union of Tai Moana Water Activities , and also foreign trade advisor (CCE) for Polynesia, her knowledge of the Polynesian economic fabric is transversal and eclectic.

As for the 2018 projected budget, it was set at 1.78 billion Fcfp, an increase of 2%. In view of future movements in international aviation, and according to the dynamism of the various markets, it is notably planned a strengthening of the actions on France, Japan and China and Korea. It is also envisaged a specific campaign on small family hotels in the Anglo-Saxon markets. Tahiti Tourisme, which this year has reorganized its services internally to acquire a local market management, will have for the next year the new responsibility for tourism awareness actions of the population, which for two years, were managed by the Ministry of Tourism.
