Inspired by the creativity of the multi award winning Chef Richard Cross, Mana has decided that this will be a major focus for the resort in the year 2018 and beyond.

Chef Cross is no stranger to Fiji as he was previously employed at the 5 Star Radisson Blu Resort on Denarau Island from June 2009 as Executive Chef, overseeing 7 food outlets and a brigade of 71 staff. He has made a mark for his outstanding innovative cuisine at the “CROSS” Restaurant which won the ‘best overall Restaurant’ in Fiji at the AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards, 2010.

Mana Island Resort & Spa – Fiji features 6 Restaurants; the popular all you can eat Mamanuca Buffet Restaurant set on North Beach, the a-la-carte South Beach Restaurant, the extraordinary Asian themed Kura Restaurant, an elegant Nasu Teppan-yaki Japanese Restaurant and the Latitude Wine Cellar dining.  The resort also offers a full service Bistro and a Coffee Shop.

According to General Manager, Mr. Patrick Wong – the decision to go Meal Inclusive was not only due to constant request from past guests but the resort’s plan to find it’s “Blue Ocean strategy” going forward.   Guests staying at Mana Island Resort & Spa – Fiji, will now be able to dine at any of the different outlets, knowing that the costs for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner have already been included prior to their arrival on the island.  He further added that today’s traveler is very sophisticated, has a better spending power but is health conscious. We saw an opportunity to diversify and tailor from the lifestyle shift towards a more physical and holistic approach where food experience and mental well-being of guests will play a significant role. However, it is important to note that a small surcharge is applicable at the Nasu Teppan-yaki restaurant and Latitude – the Wine Cellar dining where Tuna, Salmon, Fresh Lobster and grain fed steak will be offered on the menu.

Mr. Wong went on to say that the resort has also engaged services of Fiji Surf Company who looks after all aspects of the resorts watersports including Jet Ski’s, Banana Boat Rides, Sport Fishing, Island Hopping, Sunset Sail on an iconic Trimaran and daily Surfing Trips to the world renowned Cloud Break, the more forgiving; Namotu Lefts, Desperations, Restaurants, Wilkes and the Swimming Pool – surf breaks. The Sailing vessel Sea Spray is also based at Mana and takes guests on a Day Sail to Moniriki Island – main location of the movie Castaway, starring Tom Hanks. The trip also includes a visit to a local village, BBQ Lunch and Drinks.
