Air Tahiti Welcomes TERAIEFA, A New ATR 72-600, And Strengthens Its Commitment To Archipelago Connectivity
27 June 2025There’s a new face in the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) family—Thomas, our new Marketing Intern from New Caledonia!
SPTO Chief Executive Officer Christopher Cocker welcomed the French-speaking intern to the SPTO team and highlighted that this internship was a direct result of SPTO’s recent visit to New Caledonia in May. This will add value to SPTO and our French-speaking member countries, as having an SPTO team member who speaks French will benefit them. “We also look forward to welcoming more interns from SPTO’s French member countries in the future,” Cocker shared.
Thomas joins us for a 7-week internship and brings a strong passion for tourism, culture, and storytelling. He’ll work closely with the Marketing Division, contributing to regional campaigns, supporting SPTO events, and gaining valuable experience in tourism promotion across the Pacific.
He is currently pursuing his Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS) in Tourism at Laperouse High School, where he is honing the skills needed for a career in the tourism industry. This is his second visit to Fiji—his first was in 2023, when he traveled to Nadi for a sports competition.
“I’m so happy to have joined your team, and I will give my best in every task I’m assigned.” – Thomas
With his calm energy, sharp eye for detail, and eagerness to learn, Thomas has quickly settled in and is excited to make the most of his time with us. Whether he’s creating digital content or sitting in on strategy meetings, he’s enthusiastic about diving into the work that promotes tourism in our region.
If you see Thomas around the office or at upcoming SPTO events, don’t hesitate to say hello or invite him for coffee. Let’s show him just how warm and welcoming the Pacific spirit truly is!
