More Than Cruising On Captain Cook Cruises Fiji Famil

An evening at Flavours of Fiji cooking school was the first taste of Fiji for agents on a Captain Cook Cruises/ Air New Zealand famil to Fiji last week.

With accommodation hosted by Denarau’s The Palms, agents experienced a cross-section of product, including the local Westbus service to Nadi where they visited the market and The New Nadi Farmers Club.

A three-night Captain Cook Mamanuca and Southern Yasawa Island cruise took in activities on Treasure, Monoriki and Waya Islands.

A highlight of the famil was participating in Treasure Island’s hawksbill turtle preservation programme.

‘The hawksbill turtles is the second most critically endangered species of turtle in the world,’ explains Captain Cook Cruises’ Anne Radonich.

‘The ongoing conservation programme at Treasure helps ensure the preservation of these gorgeous creatures. Female hawksbills will return to their original birthplace in 25 years to lay eggs.’
