Evolution Partners Of Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Ranked Number 1
14 March 2018Niue is the place to be for yoga, fitness and adventure this May, with the island kicking off its first Yoga, Fitness and Adventure Retreat for both men and women.
Following the success of the island’s first yoga retreat last year, Niue Tourism is working with Wellness Retreats NZ to create a retreat that is open to men and has an added fitness focus. The five-day transformational retreat will run from the 18– 22 May and will include fitness sessions at sunrise, sunset yoga classes, a one-one personal training session, and three wellness training sessions. Niue’s ‘no-hype’ vibe was a major attraction for past retreat-goers, and this year’s attendees will also get a chance to digital detox and immerse into nature with guided adventures around the island.
Wellness Retreats NZ Founder and Yoga Teacher Melissa Carroll will be hosting the event with a talented team that include holistic and integrative nutritionist Kaytee Boyd and one of New Zealand’s leading personal trainers Paddy Flavell. Both Melissa and Kaytee will also be holding a Yoga, Wellness and Adventure in Niue retreat for women earlier on in the month from the 11 – 15 May.
Niue Tourism Director of Marketing Felicity Bollen says she’s excited to be offering a wellness retreat with a twist. “After seeing the outcome of last year’s yoga retreat for women, we knew that there was potential to explore different options this year. While Niue is known as the perfect place for unwinding and detoxing, it’s also a place for exploring and adventure, perfect for men and women who enjoy a mix of everything or both.”
The Retreat package includes flights, accommodation at the island’s four-star hotel the Scenic Matavai Resort, with sweeping views of the ocean, transfers and transport on the island, along with meals and a complimentary 30-minute massage. Total package cost starts at $3295 per person twin share, with terms and conditions applying and the price based on a minimum of 16 travelers taking up the offer. Niue lies 2400km northeast of New Zealand about 3.5 hours by air, with all flights out of Auckland. It’s an hour ahead of New Zealand but a day behind being over the Dateline; local currency is the NZ Dollar. The island is the largest coral island in the world and its attractions include crystal-clear waters for diving, great restaurants, forest walks, cycle tracks and an impressive set of caves and secluded coves.
