Tourism Solomons’ Women ‘Break The Bias’ On International Women’s Day
16 March 2022On Thursday 3rd March, SPTO CEO and the Executive Management team welcomed New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, H.E Charlotte Darlow, for a courtesy visit to the secretariat in Suva.
The CEO provided H.E with a brief overview of Pacific Tourism and highlighted the recently confirmed Pacific Digital Tourism Transformation Project, which is a four–year initiative supported by New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT).
Totaling NZ$4 million the project recognizes tourism as a key driver of economic growth and prosperity in the Pacific. It will deliver a range of training and ongoing support for SPTO and National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) in the areas of digital marketing, advocacy and communications, and sustainable development and research.
