Pacific Resort Shines At Cook Islands Tourism Awards

Cook Islands tourism industry leaders were celebrated this past weekend at a national awards event held in Rarotonga. In a fantastic start to the awards season, two Pacific Resort Hotel Group properties have walked away with highly regarded Air New Zealand Cook Islands Tourism Awards.

Pacific Resort Rarotonga has been prized with the Family Friendly Award, while Pacific Resort Aitutaki has received the award for Business Excellence. With over seventy entrants, two independent New Zealand-based judges, both industry professionals, were responsible for the assessing all the entries and coming up with a list of 27 finalists.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pacific Resort Rarotonga was a finalist in four categories including Environment, Business Excellence, Employer of the Year and Marketing with Pacific Resort Aitutaki a finalist in three categories including Business Excellence, Customer Care and Employer of the Year.

Accepting the award on behalf of Pacific Resort Rarotonga was Resort General Manager Ani Thompson, who states; “We are extremely proud of our achievement as Family Friendly Resort. The family market is an important segment of our business and we are committed to continuing to strive for excellence in the future. It’s a natural part of our environment and our work culture here, so we are pleased our visiting families feel this way and we are acknowledged for it.”
