The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) will host the South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) 2026 from 25–26 March 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Resort & Spa, Nadi, and is pleased to bring this with the valued support from Tourism Fiji. Delivered under the theme “Tourism that Connects: Culture, Climate, Community,” SPTE 2026 will celebrate the Pacific as a shared ocean of cultures, traditions, and knowledge systems. Anchored in the enduring symbolism of the Pacific vaka, the event highlights unity, navigation, and collective progress while positioning tourism as a connector between people, place, and purpose.
SPTE 2026 brings together tourism sellers and buyers from across the Pacific and key global markets, showcasing the region’s diverse offerings while elevating emerging and lesser-known destinations to ensure inclusive participation by Pacific Small Island States and territories.
Tourism Fiji’s participation at the event reflects a shared commitment across the region to strengthen Pacific tourism and amplify the Pacific’s collective voice on the global stage. SPTO Chief Executive Officer Christopher Cocker mentioned that having the involvement of Tourism Fiji reflects a united vision to showcase the Pacific’s diversity while ensuring that all destinations, big and small, have the opportunity to shine. Tourism in the Pacific is more than an industry—it is a bridge between cultures, communities, and our shared environment. “Together, we are charting a course for tourism that is inclusive, resilient, and deeply rooted in Pacific values,” Cocker said.
