13 June 2022After a four year hiatus, the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is pleased to announce that the South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) will return in 2023, bringing together regional tourism industry partners to promote the Pacific to the world.
SPTE 2023 will be held in Christchurch, New Zealand, from 12- 13 May. Taking into consideration the Australian Tourism Exchange (30th April – 5th May 2023, Gold Coast, Australia) and Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand (9- 11 May 2023, Christchurch, New Zealand). SPTE will offer international travel buyers the convenience of familiarizing themselves with a wide selection of suppliers and products from the Pacific under one roof.
In announcing the dates, SPTO CEO Christopher Cocker mentioned that SPTE 2023 is an opportune time to welcome back our valued partners from across the region and the world. Adding that SPTE is an excellent platform to meet and network with tourism operators (National tourism organisations, ITOs, regional airlines, hotel operators, and tour and excursion operators) from SPTO’s 20 Pacific Island member countries.
“SPTE has always been one of our premier events and with the world now opening up for travel and tourism again, this is an opportune time to remind buyers and other stakeholders of why the Pacific is a unique and exciting destination”, he said.
