Beach Clean Up and 400 Seedling Tree Planting Initiative
23 August 2022Following an unprecedented period of national lockdowns, international border closures and a range of health restrictions, it is a refreshing change to meet physically to strengthen partnerships. These were the sentiments shared by Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) CEO, Christopher Cocker, as he welcomed news of a visit by Mr. Danny Cohanpour, the CEO and Founder of Trove Tourism Development Advisors.
Based in the United States (US), Trove is a tourism development and destination marketing firm that represents tourism authorities, convention bureaus and destination marketing companies to aid with strategic planning, brand strategy, online marketing & social media and insights and analytics to name a few.
Under the New Zealand government funded Pacific Digital Tourism Transformation Project (Phase 2), Trove Tourism are the appointed consultants for two Marketing activities; the Lead Digital Specialist programme and Digital Content Upgrade.
“Phase 2 is a four year project that will support SPTO’s Strategic Plan 2020- 2024 and its three priority areas of sustainable planning and development, destination marketing and tourism data/statistical information. The marketing component of this project is quite large so we are thrilled to be able to meet with Danny this week, to discuss the activities which Trove Tourism will be leading on”, said Mr. Cocker.
“Human connection has always been greatly valued here in the Pacific and it goes a long way in laying a strong foundation for effective partnerships. We are grateful to Danny for making the trip over to the Fiji to meet the SPTO team and to essentially set the tone for impactful collaboration, contributing to the overall success of the project”.
