The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) is a prominent industry body representing hotels, resorts, and other tourism stakeholders in Fiji. Established in 1965, FHTA has been dedicated to protecting, promoting, and developing the interests of the hospitality industry in Fiji. The association is actively involved in establishing standards, providing training, recommending legislation, and promoting good relations with all stakeholders in the industry. Additionally, FHTA has a Dive Operators Subcommittee (DiveComm) that raises awareness and updates on dive issues and safety concerns.
FHTA offers a range of services to its members and the tourism industry in Fiji. This includes advocacy, training, establishing industry standards, and providing a platform for networking and collaboration among industry stakeholders. FHTA also plays a significant role in policy recommendations and liaising with government bodies to promote sustainable tourism development in Fiji.
