Raffe Hotels & Resorts Update COVID-19

Raffe Hotels & Resorts would like to provide an update on the situation for our three Hotels & Resorts (Plantation Island Resort, Lomani Island Resort & Fiji Gateway Hotel):

Plantation Island Resort
Plantation Island Resort will be temporarily suspending operations from Monday 23rd March 2020 until Sunday 31st May 2020. All existing bookings during this period will need to be cancelled and will be allowed to re-book at any time in the next 12 months.

The Resort’s Phase 2 Redevelopment Plans have been postponed until further notice. We will not accept any new bookings under the “Construction Room” category, all existing bookings in this category will be honoured.

Lomani Island Resort
Lomani Island Resort will be temporarily suspending operations from Monday 23rd March 2020 until Sunday 31st May 2020, although the Resort was already closed during this period for renovations.

We are currently deciding whether to postpone our public area development project, more information about this will be provided in due course.

Fiji Gateway Hotel
Fiji Gateway Hotel will remain open and fully operational until further notice.
As all major airlines into Fiji have suspended operations until 31st May 2020, we have been left with no choice. We will be constantly reviewing the situation over the coming weeks and are looking forward to resuming operations as soon as possible.

“This has undoubtedly been the most difficult event we could have ever imagined; to be faced with no choice but to suspend our island operations, and for an unknown period of time” states Raffe Hotels & Resorts CEO, Bradley Robinson. “Whilst we are confident that the COVID-19 situation is a temporary one, it is incredibly challenging for all of our teams to be faced with the current level of uncertainty. What we do know for certain however, is that our island Resorts will continue to welcome and delight our guests once conditions improve.”
