10 September 2017The management and staff members of a resort have reiterated its commitment to making a difference this year and fostering productive and positive relationship within the local community.
Radisson Blu Resort Fiji says it’s committed to being a responsible organisation and live by the Carlson Rezidor vision which it says is rooted on three pillars of responsible business.
A statement from the resort yesterday said in September every year all Carlson Rezidor hotels came together to participate in responsible business action month.
It said the three pillars were to put the environment, communities, and people first.
“We are very proud of our commitment and our contributions to the local community, being loyal supporters of Responsible Business philosophy,” said Gerard Knight, general manager at Radisson Blu Resort Fiji.
“Our 2017 goal is to ensure 100 per cent participation in our September responsible business action month and together we will work towards providing a better workplace and improving the environment for future generations,” said Mr Knight.
According to the statement the resort launched and celebrated responsible business action month on September 1 with event filled schedule ahead with all the staff members and management actively involved in making this year’s responsible business action month a success.
As part of their activities for the month, each department has chosen innovative ways to engage their team and their family members, with hotel guests in activities scheduled for the month.
The activities are said to range from blood drives, community clean-up, paper recycling, water conservation, staff health screening, Zumba, school renovations and community assistance.
The statement said the resort’s yearly initiative goes hand in hand with its ‘Adopt a School’ program which now assists more than 30 schools in the western region of Fiji by assisting with projects such as setting up libraries, computer laboratories, water tanks, and so much more.
