SPANTO Success Leads To More Of Same In 2018
6 November 2017Samoa’s Flag carrier and new International Airline – ‘Samoa Airways’ is flying next week Tuesday, following its Official Launch Ceremony on Monday and the arrival of the Aircraft this Saturday.
Aircraft Livery
The finishing touches to the livery were applied to the airline’s 737-800 over the weekend. A selection of images may be accessed at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/s4220t7er8myxh5/AAA_z6BNC05tqyvWvRTCQvV2a?dl=0. The aircraft is now on the ground in Milan where it is being prepared for its ferry flight.
Ferry Flight
The aircraft will be depart Europe later this week and is scheduled to land at Faleolo International Airport on Saturday 11th November (late morning). The ferry flight route will be Milan-Dubai-Singapore-Cairns-Apia. More information will be circulated during the course of the week and media will be invited to witness the arrival of the aircraft at Faleolo.
Launch Ceremony
An official launch ceremony will take place at Faleolo International Airport on Monday 13th November at 10am. More details will follow and the media will also be invited.
Inaugural Flight
The airline’s inaugural jet service will be flight OL731 on Tuesday 14th November from Apia to Auckland:
OL731 Depart Apia 0700, Arrive Auckland 1015
OL732 Depart Auckland 1110, Arrive Apia 1605
Please note that Samoa Airways and the Samoa Tourism Authority are working together to ensure the media is updated, especially in relation to the events leading up to the inaugural flight next week.
