Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji Welcomes New Resident Manager

            November 9, 2022

Fiji, 1 November 2022 – Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji is excited to announce and welcome Mr. Patrick Duff as Resident Manager of the prominent Fijian resort located on the Coral Coast.

Duff first joined Shangri-La Group as Resident Manager for Shangri-La Makati in 2017. Preceding this, he established his wealth of hospitality knowledge in globally renowned properties including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, InterContinental Hotels, Fairmont, and W Hotels, to name a few.

A seasoned hotelier and passionate by nature, Duff is looking forward to making his mark in one of Shangri- La Groups longest standing resorts. “My core priority is our guests and delivering a truly luxury experience right here on the Coral Coast,” Duff said.

“After having helmed hotels in Asia including the Philippines, USA, Jamaica, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and South Korea, I am thrilled to now embrace the Bula spirit and the dynamic islands of Fiji”, said Duff.

With an international hospitality career spanning 30 years and four continents, Duff’s inspired leadership has seen him hold the title of Resident Manager for the exclusive Iniala Beach House Phuket, Thailand and prior to this he was the Director of Food and Beverage at One & Only Resort, Maldives in 2021.

Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji’s General Manager; Francis Lee said, “Patrick will be a valuable asset to the Resort, ensuring our guests enjoy a memorable and luxurious stay that exceeds expectations in every way”.

“The operational teams are looking forward to working closely with Patrick to design and deliver holistic experiences in a meaningful and differentiated way.”

Francis commented that Patrick will be involved in the running and streamlining the operations of the resort and elevating guest satisfaction.

Patrick Duff is the successor of Mr. Chris Hamilton – who has relocated to Shangri-La Dubai.
