New Skilled Graduates To Bolster Vanuatu Workforce
17 April 2018The luxury Six Senses Fiji opens on Saturday 14 April but it has already had a tick of approval from one of the Kiwi trade’s leading South Pacfic specialists.
Trade and media from around the world were due to attend the Fii Tourism Expo (FTE) last week and and many of them would have had site inspections out at Six Senses – the latest addition to choices on Malolo Island. Unfortunately the event was cancelled due to cyclone forecasts and conditions.
Paula Watson, tactical sales manager at House of Travel, is a step ahead, having had a brief stay in one of the resort’s high-end residences late last month.
‘Clients have their own guest experience manager (GEM), there is a speed boat to and from the resort 24/7 so there is no need to catch the regular ferry, and the wellness cente can set a full programme for guests during their stay – including suggested items on the menu.
‘These things come at a price, but there is absolutely a market for it out of New Zealand.’ Watson says Six Senses will suit couples, groups celebrating a special occasion, and multi generational families after a special experience.
The corporate incentive sector and even the ‘sophisticated surfer market’ are other opportunities. As well as the larger residences, the property has one- and two-bedroom pool villas with private sun decks, entertainment systems and fully stocked mini bars.
