South Sea Cruises Extension to the Suspension of our Services through to 31 December 2020 – Issue 8, 24 November 2020

South Sea Cruises has made the decision to further extend the temporary suspension of our services through to 31 December 2020. It has become clear that travel from the key source markets to Fiji is still unlikely to resume prior to 01 January 2021 at the earliest. 

Should any announcements be made regarding the re-opening of international borders prior to this then we will certainly revise our operation dates and send out schedules accordingly – otherwise, we will review our ability to operate services again from 01 January 2021 closer to this date.

We request that you kindly make contact with any guests travelling up to 31 December 2020 and advise them of this extended travel restriction and the revised suspension of our services.

This extension includes the following services:

• All South Sea Cruises Day Cruise operations (including South Sea Island and Seaspray Day Adventures)
• Malamala Beach Club
• South Sea Cruises Resort Connections to both the Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands

​Important Note for local Fiji Operators  – this does NOT affect the services that we are operating for the “Love our Locals” initiative over the November / December / January period – these are still operating as advertised and scheduled.  

We would kindly request agents and or customers already booked on any of these affected services to please contact our reservations team on +679 675 0500 or by email on reservations@ssc.com.fj to defer travel dates or discuss cancellation options.

As a reminder, our cancellation policy is as follows for both our day cruises and resort connection services:

Cancellations

• All cancellations need to be received in writing and any cancellations received more than 24 hours before a booked departure are entitled to receive a full refund.
• Cancellations received within 24 hours of booked travel or no shows will be charged at 100%.
