SPTO Calls for Expressions Of Interest for Research Project

The UNWTO partnering with the South Pacific Tourism Organisation are calling for expression of interest (EOI) for a consultant to undertake a research project, focusing on synergies between sustainable growth and product development in the Pacific Islands.
The research project will commerce in April 2019 with expected publication in January 2020.
The research will undertake case studies involving ten selected PICs and good practice cases from selected five Smaller Island States (SIS), and developing and emerging markets.
The case studies will examine the following:

• Analysis  of the  destination’s international arrivals
• Identification of the governance structures , i.e. the management and institutions —(Ministry, NTA, NTO, DMO, Key players)
• Current tourist market (demand and supply, key target markets, etc.)
• Air connectivity and infrastructure
• Tourism Policies and strategies
• Marketing and Promotion

Deadline for submission of EOI is Wednesday 10 April 2019.
