29 September 2024The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is actively engaging with key partners across the Pacific region to ensure the successful execution of the South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) 2025, scheduled for May.
SPTO’s Manager of Marketing, Kiniviliame Raicebe, recently met with representatives from hospitality, airline, and tourism service providers in Nadi to discuss strategic collaborations and industry support for the event.
During his visit, Mr Raicebe conducted a site inspection with the team at Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, the SPTE 2025 venue host. The inspection covered the resort’s facilities, including a new accommodation wing, multiple dining options, and a soon-to-be-completed convention center. And the review of Audio-visual requirements with Rosy Managreve from Encore.
In addition, Mr. Raicebe held productive discussions with Fiji Airways, further strengthening its commitment to regional tourism, and Rosie Holidays, which expressed strong support for SPTE 2025 after its success at SPTE 2024—Rosie Holidays also highlighted the value of SPTO’s Industry Membership Programme (IMP) in fostering regional collaboration. They called for more frequent research insights, particularly in niche sectors like dive and adventure tourism.
Further meetings were with South Sea Cruises (SSC), Nalagi Hotel, Raffe Gateway Hotel, Tanoa International Hotel, Ramada/Cove Management Limited, Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa and Tourism Fiji. These discussions focused on accommodation partnerships, conference room expansions, SPTO’s Industry Membership Programme and promotional opportunities through SPTO’s Pulse newsletter and social media platforms.
“In view of the above, SPTO remains committed to fostering regional collaboration, Public Private and Community partnership and delivering impactful tourism events like SPTE 2025, which continue to drive sustainable growth and development in the Pacific tourism sector,” Mr. Cocker stated.
