Pacific Tourism Organisation Launches Success Guide Series to Support Industry Members
19 June 2026Suva, Fiji – 19 June 2026 – The Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is pleased to announce the launch of its newly upgraded consumer website, delivering a significantly enhanced digital platform designed to inspire, inform, and connect global audiences with the diverse destinations of the South Pacific.
The upgraded website was developed by Oceanic Communications Fiji, with funding support from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (NZMFAT). SPTO extends its sincere appreciation to NZMFAT for its support in enabling the delivery of this important digital enhancement initiative for the Pacific region’s tourism sector.
The website, available at Discover the Pacific Islands , represents a complete refresh of SPTO’s consumer platform. It features a redesigned user interface and user experience (UI/UX), improved navigation, enhanced content integration, and new digital functionalities aligned with the needs of modern travellers.
A key enhancement of the platform is its multilingual capability, now available in 11 languages, including English, French, Chinese, and Japanese, significantly improving accessibility and reach for global audiences.
The website has also been enriched with updated imagery, downloadable resources, and strengthened storytelling elements to better showcase the diversity, culture, and experiences of the Pacific region. The platform is designed to be more intuitive, mobile-responsive, and user-friendly, supporting seamless discovery for travellers, media, and industry partners.
SPTO Chief Executive Officer, Chris Cocker, said the upgraded platform strengthens SPTO’s ability to showcase the Pacific more effectively on the global stage.
“This upgraded consumer website enhances how we present the Pacific to the world. It provides a more engaging and accessible experience for users while strengthening our ability to showcase the diversity, authenticity, and unique appeal of our destinations,” he said.
General Manager of Oceanic Communications Fiji, Oceanic Communications Fiji, Nitesh Chandra, said the platform reflects a strong balance of strategy, creativity, and collaboration.
“This platform reflects Oceanic Communications’ commitment to blending strategy, collaboration, and creativity to deliver meaningful digital experiences for the Pacific. Working closely with SPTO, our focus was on creating a user-friendly and visually compelling platform that effectively showcases the region,” he said.
The upgraded SPTO Consumer Website reinforces SPTO’s commitment to improving digital access to Pacific tourism information and strengthening the region’s visibility as a diverse, sustainable, and world-class travel destination.
