The South Pacific Tourism Organisation [SPTO] in collaboration with Fiji Airways and seven member countries will be attending the Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show, an opportunity to create awareness of the new South Pacific brand/identity for the USA market.
Fiji Airways has offered FOC return air ticket from Nadi to Los Angeles which was extended to 3 participants for each member country. Samoa and Tonga are confirmed to participate and showcase as part of the South Pacific Islands brand. Other member countries that will be participating in their own booths are American Samoa, Fiji, Cook Islands, Tahiti and Solomon Islands.
From January to September, 2017, a total of 152,548 tourists from the United States visited PICs. In terms of destination shares, majority of these tourists visited Fiji and accounted for 39.8% of all US arrivals. French Polynesia came in second and recorded a share of 33.5% while the remaining 26.7% were shared amongst the other Pacific Island destinations.
The Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show is the Largest Consumer Travel Show in the United States.
