Vanuatu Hosts Council Of Tourism Ministers Meeting
19 October 2017Because tourism is the business of all, Tahiti Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism were invited on Friday, October 6, 2017 by Pierre Ghewy and Sylvain Petit, Associate Professor at the University of French Polynesia, to present their missions with students in Master’s degree in Management and International Trade.
This training prepares future managers in sectors such as finance, commerce, economics, management and tourism.
Vaihere Lissant, Marketing and Communications Director, and Alice Izal, Communications Manager, represented Tahiti Tourism while Hironui Johnston spoke on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism. The opportunity to know a little more about the experiences and trades of each and to exchange with the students of the University of French Polynesia.
An intervention that also allowed the two entities to present some ideas for reflection on the issues of study that students will have to define for their dissertation work. These are themes related to sustainable tourism, digital or awareness of the local population to tourism. In return, these briefs will serve as tools for tourism institutions to analyze and improve the tourism promotion strategy.

This partnership with the University of French Polynesia and Tahiti Tourism marks the desire to integrate Polynesian youth into the reflection on the subjects concerning tourism which represents the first resource of French Polynesia.
