Surfing
Surfing in Fiji is usually done on offshore reef breaks and Fiji has some of the best in the world like Cloudbreak, Namotu Lefts and Frigates.
The winter months of April – October is the best time for experienced surfers as wind and surf conditions produce bigger waves than usual. The World Surf League’s annual ‘Fiji Pro’ competition is held at ’Cloudbreak’ in the Mamanuca Islands in June each year.
Smaller wave conditions during the summer months of November – March are kinder to beginners and less experienced surfers. Many resorts will put you in touch with surf charters, schools and camps close to access the nearest wave.
