All the World’s Destinations Restrict Travel, 72% Close Borders

The entire world is on a travel lockdown with the Covid-19 pandemic as 100 percent of global destinations have travel restrictions in place and 72 percent have completely closed their borders to international visitors, according to new research from the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Regional Tourism Arrivals To The Region Up 18.4% In The June Quarter

Tourist arrivals in the Pacific ACP and SPTO member countries increased by 18.4% in the second quarter of this year when compared to the first quarter. This increase is in line with the global momentum of tourism growth with international tourist arrivals reaching 6% growth compared to 4.7% in the previous quarter.
