Tahiti In Montreal: Experience To Be Renewed

Tourism Minister Nicole Bouteau met with the President of the Association of Family Hotels of Tahiti and her islands, Melinda Bodin, along with Jean-Claude Gorin, manager of Oxygen, the co-ordinator of the show Tahiti in Montreal.

The first Tahiti trade show in Montreal took place on September 7, 8 and 9 in the Desjardins shopping complex, with the support of the country, which was represented through the Ministries of Economy and Trade Tourism, but also many private partners.

Through this event, the organizers wanted to increase awareness of the destination, inform and raise awareness in the Canadian market (notably in Montreal) about the destination and the potential for commercial exchanges, but also promote cultural, economic and commercial exchanges between Polynesia and Canada.

This meeting made it possible to draw up an initial assessment of this event which was a real success of the opinion of the organizers, the exhibitors, the Complexe Desjardins as well as the large public. The organizers are already planning to renew the experiment in 2018.
