The Minister of Tourism and Labor, in charge of relations with the institutions, Nicole Bouteau, went, to meet the teams of the Employment Service, Training, and Professional Integration ( SEFI), the main operator for employment in Polynesia, and now service under its tutelage for employment and vocational training.
The organization of the service revolves around its core business: the link between jobseekers and employers. SEFI’s mission is notably to facilitate access to employment and to implement any action aimed at promoting activity and employment.
Welcomed by the department head of this entity, Hina Grepin-Louison, Nicole Bouteau was able to visit the SEFI headquarters in Papeete and meet all the agents present.
The action of the service relies on a team of 80 people. In addition to the headquarters in Papeete, the SEFI has relocated offices in Tahiti, Moorea and Raiatea. For the other archipelagos, the service is based on the subdivisions of the country and their Tavana Hau.
A presentation of the missions, organization, achievements and projects of the service was made, at the end of the visit, with the management team. The minister was able to see their involvement and motivation in accomplishing their missions.
