            The Tahiti Minister Of Tourism Presents At The Tahiti Cruise Club AG

            Tourism Minister Nicole Bouteau attended the Tahiti Cruise Club (TCC) General Assembly on Tuesday (July 4th).

            The TCC, which was set up as an association in 2010, is a tool for the development of the cruise industry in French Polynesia, bringing together twenty-two public and parapublic members (municipalities, chambers of commerce, airport managers) and the private entities concerned Etc.) as well as numerous partners (ministry, services, Port Autonome, Tahiti Tourism, etc.).

            Their first objective is to simplify procedures and cruise operations and ensure. TCC assesses all aspects of the sector in all archipelagos: receptive capacities, infrastructures and equipment, regulations, promotion, relations with shipowners, etc.

            The results of the industry since 2012, the evolution of the stopover and passenger flow, as well as the participation of French Polynesia in the Seatrade Cruise Global 2017 were presented at this general meeting as well as the outlook for 2018 .

            The issues and cross-cutting issues related to the country’s strategy to 2020, which should engage French Polynesia in a new phase of growth, were exposed to all participants to remind the imperative of cohesion, A coordinated collective approach. The members were able to discuss the strategic actions to be taken in the coming months.

            The minister also answered questions from professionals related to the reception infrastructure. It also announced the creation of a government committee, set up to oversee the implementation of the cruise development strategy for the coming years.
