Asia Pacific Destinations Record Strong Visitor Arrivals Growth In Q3
6 December 2017On December 7, 2017 at the Pago Pago Youth Center, the Department of Territorial Administration on Aging will host its very first pageant for King & Queen of TAOA.
Contestants will compete in 5 categories: teen wear from the 50’s, formal puletasi & safari, talent, interview, and skill at performing the Siva Samoa.
Local bands, including 3 Blind Men will provide entertainment for this event that is sure to be one of the best social affairs this year!
All prizes will be donated by the community and announced at the event.
Every contestant stands to win a prize, but at the end of the night, only one King and Queen of TAOA will be crowned.
This event is free for everyone to attend and will be a great way to kick off December.
This event is one of many new and creative activities that Director Evelyn Satele Lilio has introduced since her appointment.
Included in her efforts is the facilitation and promotion of the TAOA handicraft center, which sells arts and crafts made by the participants of the TAOA employment program.
This center has grown in participants & volume, and is now a popular stop for cruise ship tourists and school groups.
