Tauese P.F. Sunia Ocean Center offers VR Diving

Experience the underwater treasures of American Samoa before you get here!

Last weekend, the team at the National Marine Sanctuary American Samoa launched their virtual dive expedition that will allow viewers to experience a virtual tour of our sanctuaries right from the comfort of their homes!

The website, Google Expeditions is an immersive education app that allows viewers to explore the world through over 800 virtual-reality and 100 augmented-reality tours, of which our National Marine Sanctuaries are now included Visitors may use mobile devices or VR Viewers to virtually explore and swim underwater in our sanctuaries without even getting in the water. This virtual dive will also be available when you visit the Tauese P.F. Sunia Ocean Center in Utulei, and is perfect for visitors who are unable to hike or travel to the outer islands for a sanctuary experience.

Using any of the 30 VR viewers now available at the Ocean Center, visitors may explore, swim underwater, and enjoy a virtual tour of our sanctuaries, without even leaving the building! Log onto Google Expeditions today to learn more on how to set up your next virtual dive experience.
