June officially marks TAK’s 1st anniversary and is a reminder that we have made it through the first half of what is an extraordi-nary year for international tourism.
Kiribati currently enjoys a COVID-Free status and whilst this has meant a significant drop in international visitors, TAK is optimistic of a return to sustainable visitor numbers when boarders reopen.
TAK is working closely with stakeholders to identify creative alternatives for revenue generation whilst strengthening capacity through trainings and workshops. The present situation is also allowing us to map out a Reset Kiribati Strategy and to prepare the industry for the “New Normal’. We hope you will enjoy this issue and we wish you a productive July.
