13 November 20172017 has been a great year of growth for the cruise industry. With 17 cruise ships scheduled for delivery in 2018, that growth will continue. Following this array of ships being built is an influx of robust bookings. With cruise lines expanding into different ports of destination and technology, the customer experience is constantly being improved. When it comes to “marketplace buzz,” nothing beats the launch of a new ship with razzle-dazzle features to stir up consumer excitement. In 2016, 448 cruise ships sailed worldwide, and fast-paced growth continues unabated. Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA) “2017 Cruise Industry Outlook Report” shows that 26 new ocean, river and specialty ships with 30,000 new berths – $6.8 billion in investment — will hit the water this year.
