The Pearl Resort & Spa welcomes Executive Chef Vincenzo Maione. Born in Maddaloni, a small town in Campania, and raised in Napoli, Italy, he was inspired by his family’s love for cooking.
Vincenzo’s passion for food started at an early age through traditional family celebrations and long Italian feasts. His interest and desire for improvement led him to enrol into a Cookery School in Italy.
Upon graduation, Chef Maione embarked on his first journey to the Amalfi Coast and quickly worked his way up to Sous Chef.
He further challenged himself with his first overseas stint to open the Amalfi Italian Restaurant in Fiji. Chef Maione continued his Fiji journey, with roles at the 5-star Kokomo Private Island Resort in Kadavu.
With over a decade of extensive experience in Italy and 14 years of exposure to Fiji, Chef Maione hopes to bring his passion and love for food to The Pearl.
