Yap App: The Yap Visitors Bureau General Manager, Mr. Don Evans, and the YVB Product Development Manager, Mr. Tom Tamangmow had a conference call on February 12 with Simon Milne and Nathan Dobbin from the New Zealand Tourism Research Institute (NZTRI) in Auckland.
The call concerned the planning of the Yap App which should be funded by the YVB FY 19 budget (available in October). Nathan said he would be emailing a format to collect the information that is needed in the APP, and also to start some developments on that end.
The NZTRI is still collecting information from the Wi-Fi at the Yap airport and Simon is planning a trip to Yap in April of this year to gather additional information and to update the visitor survey data.
Once the App is done and stored, it should be very convenient for guests and visitors to access valuable information about Yap.
