Tourism Fiji’s Brand Ambassador Ileana D’Cruz launched the 2018 India Roadshow.
The roadshow will take place from August 7-14.
She launched a video of her experience on a recent to trip to Fiji this year and simultaneously opened the annual Roadshow, which covered four major cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta and Bangalore.
Tourism Fiji chief executive officer, Matthew Stoeckel said: “India is a strategic market for Fiji and one that we see with potential for future growth.
“It’s crucial that we embark on Roadshows like this to actively engage with trade partners in the market,” Mr Stoeckel said
“It’s also a great opportunity to form new partnerships and share new properties and experiences that Fiji has to offer.
“This year, we are pleased to involve our Brand Ambassador, Ileana D’Cruz as she is the face of our Fijian Tourism brand in the India market,” Mr Stoeckel added.
The Roadshow will offer opportunities for travel professionals to connect with more than nine Fiji partners, including the Airline, Hotels, DMC’s and Boutique resorts.
“Tourism Fiji has upped the ante to attract more tourists from India.
“Apart from the key metros, we are also penetrating Tier I & II cities by conducting webinar and training sessions in these markets to ensure that the travel trade is well equipped to answer queries related to our offerings,” explained Tourism Fiji’s regional manager India, Seema Kadam.
The Roadshow also serves as a platform to inform travel agents about Tourism Fiji’s enhanced Matai specialist programme and a new campaign which showcases that a holiday in Fiji can be anything you want it to be, filled with varied experiences and fun filled activities and impeccable views.
